Visit from CNHi Global President
27th September 2021
T H WHITE Group CEO Alex Scott, and Division Director David Rapkins, welcomed four senior visitors from the CNH Industrial Group (CNHi) last week.
Global Agriculture President CNHi Derek Nielson was joined by New Holland European Vice President Sean Lennon, New Holland Global Head of Tractors Oscar Baroncelli, and Business Director for New Holland UK & ROI Pat Smith.
The purpose of the gathering, held at T H WHITE’s Knockdown branch in Gloucestershire, was to discuss and explore future opportunities for their long-standing partnership in the supply of CNHi machinery, with T H WHITE having held the New Holland franchise for more than a century and the Case IH franchise since 2005.
Their discussions included the growing environmental agenda in farming and the evolving use of alternative fuels in the drive towards zero emissions for farm machinery. They also discussed the recent success of integrating Murley operations, expanding T H WHITE territory, and the continuing strategy of brand differentiation between Case IH and New Holland Agriculture which will further enhance our shared business in offering both tractor brands.
Also on the agenda was our collective mission to raise the bar in precision farming with multiple precision farming specialists on our staff, as well as broader discussions around the specialist skill sets needed in the industry. Both parties – manufacturer and dealer – are working together to attract, retain and grow skills and develop careers in the sector, supported by initiatives such as training, cross skilling of technologies (readily available within a large dealer such as T H WHITE). The substantial machine knowledge of our colleagues and the way it is applied to the delivery of high customer service standards is also being more widely recognised by the development of accreditations.
The meeting concluded with a series of visits to customers to gather feedback on CNHi’s product propositions and how all parties can continue to enhance the customer offering.
